This pattern gives specific instructions for an AirPods Pro case and a pencil case but feel free to change the length to fit your requirements.
The pouch is designed for leftover sock yarn and mohair. It uses 3 mm knitting needles and a 2.5 mm crochet hook (for the assembly).
Gauge: 25 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch on 3 mm needles
